On an island where the new homes are starting to look all too similar, Lance and his capable crew created something very special for us.  Our renovation is a source of endless compliments from our neighbors.

When we started the process we had very dilapidated house which was built in 1950; by this point harsh weather had taken its toll and many thought we should tear the house down and start over. However, my dad was adamant about keeping the house (which had some architectural significance as one of the first reverse living houses built on LBI) so we entrusted Lance and his team with a complete interior and exterior renovation.

We also had a very limited budget so Lance and his team needed to be flexible and efficient. This required numerous changes and adjustments that most builders would not have been able to handle. Many builders can build by the numbers, but few can improvise and work out unforeseen challenges like L.M. Farina and his crew.

In the end we got a finished home that was both well done and a very good value. In these times value and craft must go hand in hand and we received both from L.M. Farina and Sons in this very difficult and unique project. We wish Lance and his team continued success and we highly recommend him on your next renovation project.

My wife and I have been working with Lance Farina for almost 15 years. I had contracted with Lance to replace a large Andersen picture window on the second floor of our duplex, as well as replacing a sliding glass door onto an upstairs sun deck. It was not a large job, but Lance was prompt, neat, professional, and did quality work at a reasonable price, much to our satisfaction. Fast Forward 15 years, I contacted Lance to bid on an elevator and tower I wanted to add to our home to accommodate our 93 year old father in Law living with us. He quoted the work at a reasonable price, performed in a very professional, neat, and dependable manner. He is a trustworthy man of his word who does what he says he is going to do when he says he will do it. When the start of the project was delayed for 9 months by an unexpected need for a variance, delaying the start of the project from Sept 08 to May of 09, he completed the exterior work on the tower by Mid July without breaking through into our living area, allowing us to enjoy our summer 09 without construction dirt and debris. He started again at the end of September and completed the job to our complete satisfaction by year end. We added to the job several times, and made some changes in design during the job, and were treated fairly and competently. He is not too big for a small project and not too small to handle a large project. I wholeheartedly recommend Lance Farina to anyone building in or around LBI.
